Accountabilities
- Maintain a safe working environment. Understand, follow and support company policies and procedures, (i..e. lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, etc.) in addition to corporate and local safety initiatives. Assume responsibility for risk assessment. Manage and encourage all employees and contractors to be proactive in the area of safety, including anticipating unsafe behaviors, conditions and unusual circumstances.
- Accountable for the Dry End Operations (including the Mill, Loading and Warehouse operations, and Production planning. Manages area budget / cost, volume and quality. Manages small project capital budget.
- Accountable for shift supervisors (performance management and coaching and guidance) on the off-shift operations
- Manages equipment and process reliability.
- In charge of continuous improvement and sustainable development projects for the Mill and Loading operations.
- Participates in Production and Maintenance coordination.
- Ensures that department is using standard business processes.
- Delivers on special project assignments.
- As FSP Team Member shall ensure duties or work instructions are in place and communicated to all staff involved with the plant’s FSP and how it applies to product safety, legality, and quality.
- Accountable for Ensuring Compliance with all QC Requirements (FSP, GMP) and Providing Leadership to Drive Continuous Improvements in Product Quality. Understands the recording of Food Safety Plan observations on production records/logs and how they pertain to the quality, legality, authenticity and safety of products.
Responsibilities
- Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement and plant policies.
- Participates in capital budget and portfolio management.
- Participates in succession planning activities.
- Completes compliance requirements, including compliance matrix, and other training for position, as required.
- Manages area budget including cost, volume and quality. Also responsible for small project capital budget.
- Manages equipment and process reliability.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
Health, Safety & Environmental
- Ensures regulatory and corporate compliance.
- Manages EHS Performance and provides leadership and direction in these areas in the Mill and Loading operations.
