What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Maker/Technician position at MOS Plastics?
Established Bay Area plastic injection molding business is looking for a TOOL ROOM TECHNICIAN at their San Jose location to assist in cleaning molds, changing mold configurations, and properly storing molds after production runs. This will be a day shift position with occasional shifts in hours to accommodate production needs.
Essential functions will include:
- Prepare molds for production.
- Change mold configurations based on production needs.
- Prepare molds for storage following production runs.
- Provide support function for production.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of related experience in a Tool Room or Machine Shop preferred but not required. Prior injection molding experience highly desired.
- Solid mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools.
- Ability to drive a forklift or the capacity to learn (valid California Driver’s License required).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detailed oriented and have strong organizational skills.
