Responsibilities:

• Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
• Develop and maintain code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
• Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
• Perform software project management and software supplier management functions.
• Develop, select, tailor and deploy software processes, tools and metrics.
• Execute and documents software research and development projects.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
• Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
• Work under general direction.
• Develop software applications (JAVA, C#), work with software provided by company organizations, generating requirements, maintain Software Interface Documents, evaluate designs, integrate the Software into the Ground System. Target host environment is Linux.
• Responsible for full life-cycle software development which means you will have a hand in defining the requirements; designing, implementing and testing the software; and supporting these products through delivery and in the field.
• Member of a high performing, collaborative team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills.
• Support all aspects of product development, including project management.
• Help the team to continuously improve and develop innovative and creative solutions to products and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry combined with 5 years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance 
• 3 years of experience with software and systems integration.
• 1 years of experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and best agile software engineering practices.
• 3 years experience working in Object Oriented Software development in JAVA and/or C#.
• 1 years of experience working with relational databases and database tools (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and/or document-based databases (NoSQL, ElasticSearch, etc.)
• 3 years experience writing clean, modular, readable, and testable code.
• Desired Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and Scaled Agile.
  • 1 years of experience working with Virtualized Systems (i.e. VMWare) design and implementation.
  • 1 years of experience with networking communications standards, IP Networking, and protocols (e.g. Transport Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Secure Transport Protocol (SCP)).
  • Experience with Containerization technology (Docker, Podman, etc.) and Container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Experience with multiple front-end languages and libraries (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, etc.).
  • Experience with modern Web Development frameworks and libraries (Angular, React, etc.).
  • Experience with modern REST API principles and best practices
