Job Title: Night Operator/Adulticider (Part-time Seasonal)

Summary: Drives truck and operates spray equipment in order to control mosquitoes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions: Drives to assigned area and sprays designated area to control mosquitoes; completes daily information log on
area sprayed, mileage driven, gasoline used; fuels truck and checks fluids daily. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential
function of this position.
Other Job Functions: Performs other job related duties as directed.

Equipment Used: Trucks, chemical tanks, spraying equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience: High school graduate or GED preferred.
Specialized Requirements: Must have a valid Texas Drivers License with good driving record.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, write, and carry out routine oral and written instructions; ability to read maps; basic math
calculation skills; ability to interact and cooperate with co-workers; ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment used in mosquito control.
WORK SITUATIONS/DEMANDS/EFFORT: Work requires flexibility in order to perform a variety of tasks; performing routine, repetitive
duties; driving trucks; operating spray equipment; possible irregular and/or long working hours; working alone and with others. Supervisor
assigns work; employee works independently within established guidelines and time frame.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in a vehicle and outside in field locations, away from an office. Worker is subject to
adverse weather and environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity, and precipitation; physical hazards from moving
machinery, spray equipment, traffic; safety hazards and adverse atmospheric conditions from chemical fumes, dust and odors; must be
available to work night shift – 6:00p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Monday through Thursday. During Daylight Savings time, the evening shift is
7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job duties require medium work such as moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs. (Chemical drums, tools,
equipment, etc.) by lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling; prolonged sitting (driving a truck several hours a day); climbing and reaching; regular
walking and/or standing. Duties require appropriate safety precautions.
