Introduction to the team
We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to join the thriving IT Compliance Practice at Moss Adams. Part of the Risk Advisory and Compliance group, the IT Compliance team audits the system and organization controls (SOC) that our clients rely on to keep their business running. The Compliance Specialist works with the Compliance leadership to provide quality assurance and quality control throughout all stages of SOC projects, from initial client acceptance to on-the-ground reporting, through to final report issuance. This is a high-impact position, responsible for facilitating the work of client service staff in the field while also providing a critical and discerning eye to the resulting work products, ensuring that all reports adhere to the high standards of the MAAS IT Compliance Practice.
Responsibilities:

Leads project workflows through the entire lifecycle

Leads project kick-off and planning documentation

Drafts test language for use in fieldwork

Incorporates team and client feedback into reports and working papers

Reviews working papers and reports post-fieldwork to ensure quality and accuracy of evidence

Edits/proofreads technical reports to adhere to the standards of IT Compliance

Provides regular status updates to the Compliance Manager

Negotiates project deadlines and forecast/schedule changes as necessary

Provides excellent, deadline-driven client service and maintains strong internal client relationships
Qualifications :

Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required
-
Strong English grammar and spelling
-
Ability to understand or learn technical information related to MAAS IT Compliance offerings and firm processes

Outstanding proofreading ability

Project management skills
-
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)

Attention to detail, logic, and accuracy

Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to others

Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
-
Strong organizational skills; able to effectively prioritize assignments and competing deadlines in a fast paces environment

Experience working in IT, consulting, or audit preferred

Visio and Adobe Acrobat Professional experience a plus

Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
