What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Motel 6?

We are looking for customer service oriented individuals who are a able to learn the role quickly.
Essential Functions Front Desk:
- Identify and explain room features to guests; supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest.
- Process all guest requests and relay messages.
- Activate and file room keys.
- Verify and adjust billing to guest folios when needed
- Secure payment from guests
- Accept and record wake-up call requests
- Count bank at beginning and end of shift; secure bank.
- Process all payment types and miscellaneous charges; provide change.
- Answer phone calls and assist guests with a variety of requests
- Create, modify, and cancel reservations upon confirmation with a guest
- Assist Housekeeping with folding laundry, maintain pool towels
- Keep the lobby and public restroom clean and tidy
- Other duties may be assigned by the Front Desk Manager or General Manager
Required Qualifications:
- Able to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with customers and employees. Strong verbal communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods and seasons.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time.
- Ability to lead and train other employees on specific duties
