Refrigeration Clerk
Job Posting for Refrigeration Clerk at Mother's Market & Kitchen, Inc.
Pay Range: $15.50-$20.00 per hour
Under the Refrigeration Manager Supervision, the Refrigeration Clerk performs the following duties:
TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work extensively in cold conditions
- Order products including special orders for customers
- Handle receiving such as handling products and replenishing shelf stock
- Check delivery invoices/packing lists against shipped product for accuracy
- Stock and face product, check prices on existing and new stock for consistency with shelf labels and marking shelf labels with blue chips if inconsistencies are found
- Clean shelves and product to high standards
- Continuously check product expiration date
- Arrange and refill special product displays and samples
- Aware of safety and security in assigned area and remove safety hazards
- Place “Temporarily Unavailable” tags on empty shelf spaces
- Interact with vendors
- Other duties assigned
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
Training/Education:
- A High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate
Experience:
- Previous customer experience is a plus
Knowledge of:
- Customer service techniques
- Verbal proficiency of the English language and be able to read and write English at a basic level
Ability to:
- Read, comprehend and relate product knowledge to customers in an understandable manner
- Work in an accurate manner in a fast-paced environment
- Order, stock, face and price conduct
- Work in a team with those contacted in the course of work
- Assist customers promptly
- Communicate orally and in writing with supervisors, co-workers and customers
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Lift refrigerated product, singles and case boxes, over 100 times per day, lifted from floor level to carts and shelves: 6” to 6’
- Carry same items listed above, max distance 10’
- Push/pull carts of case and loose product
- Extended time in walk in coolers and freezers, jackets, gloves and hats provided
Special Requirements:
- Must be available to work various shifts as needed
