Job Details
We have a contract need for several circuit installers. The primary focus of this position will be upgrading over 400 remote location Ethernet circuits to new higher speed Ethernet circuits from another carrier. This position will be located at headquarters in Irondale, AL

- Self-starter
- Ability to function in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Microsoft Office fluency (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Visio)
- Ability to interact with users in branches to resolve problems
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and BGP routing
- Knowledge of modern routing, switching and firewall products - preferably Fortinet
- Ability to troubleshoot WAN and LAN problems
- Security - basic Cisco and Fortinet firewalls, NAC, etc
- High school diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Training or certification(s) in general networking or Fortinet strongly preferred.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work with branch personnel or third party to locate new circuit and connect to existing network gear
- Configure Fortinet Gateway for new circuit
- Bring new circuit online and validate functionality
- Verify tunnel configuration and operation
- Disable old circuit in Gateway
- Clean up network management tools and databases to reflect new circuit
- Other communications related departmental functions as needed
