Job Description:
This food and beverage industry leader has an immediate 6 month contract opportunity in Irving, TX for a Network Engineer. This position requires working onsite 3-4 days/week in Irving (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are mandatory). Will team up with an existing Network Engineer and be responsible for network engineering, managing 3rd party vendors, developing documentation, and completing networking projects. Will also interact extensively with technical and non-technical users as needed.
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with strong chance for extension and/or conversion)
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience with the following:
- Cisco switches
- SD-WAN
- Routing
- IP address management
- Firewall management
- Experience managing 3rd party vendors providing services in remote locations
- Experience developing documentation “How to’s”
- Other IT Infrastructure knowledge (servers, pc’s, applications) strongly preferred.
- Project management experience
- Ability to interact and communicate with non-technical users and management
- AWS experience is a plus
