What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategy & Operations Lead, International Expansion position at Motive?
About the Role:
As the Head of Strategy & Operations for International Expansion, you will play a pivotal role in establishing Motive's global footprint. You will formulate and execute launch strategies for new countries and build the infrastructure required to set the company up for long-term international success. You will also be responsible for standing up our operations in new countries, establishing our operational cadence and ensuring that local teams are successful from Day 1. This role is highly cross-functional as you will lead the research, planning and execution of new expansions across a large number of cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, supply chain, tax & legal, and more.

What You’ll Do:
- Conduct global market research & analysis and formulate Motive’s strategy for international expansion across the short, medium and long term.
- Contribute to country launches by driving core business work streams across sales, marketing, supply chain, support, and more.
- Build the infrastructure that allows Motive to operate in new countries. Everything from recurring executive reporting, to new office setup, to financial structure.
- Establish the basis for Motive’s long-term success as a multinational organization by working with partner teams to build for international scale.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4 years of experience in a business operations or strategy focused role, or prior experience in consulting.
- Extremely strong organizational skills with a proven ability to deliver results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to influence up and across successfully.
- Previous experience in a startup or growth team environment. Demonstrated success wearing many hats.
