Auto body painter

Our Client is seeking anexperienced and skilled Auto Body Painter to join their team. TheAuto Body Painter will be responsible for preparing and paintingvehicles to restore them to their preaccident condition.

Thesuccessful candidate must have a thorough understanding ofautomotive painting techniques a keen eye for color and detail andthe ability to work in a fastpacedenvironment.

Responsibilities :

• Inspectand prepare vehicles for painting including sanding masking andpriming
• Mix paint to match theoriginal color and texture of thevehicle
• Apply paint using a varietyof techniques including brushes rollers and spray guns ensuringthat all surfaces are covered evenly and with the properthickness
• Follow manufacturersrecommendations for paint application and curingtimes
• Inspect finished work toensure that the paint has been applied correctly with no drips runsor other imperfections
• Clean andmaintain painting equipment including spray guns brushes androllers
• Maintain a clean andorganized work area and properly dispose of hazardousmaterials
• Follow established safetyprocedures and guidelines to ensure a safe workenvironment

Requirements

Qualifications :

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Minimumof 2 years of experience as an auto body painter or relatedfield
• Thorough understanding ofautomotive painting techniques including mixing and matching colorsapplying paint and curing times
• Goodcolor perception and attention to detail with the ability to matchcolors and textures
• Good physicalstamina and manual dexterity with the ability to stand bend andstoop for extended periods of time and lift up to 50pounds
• Good communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively withother team members
• Valid driverslicense

Certifications :

• ASE(National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence)certification in painting and refinishing is aplus
• ICAR (InterIndustry Conferenceon Auto Collision Repair) certification in Painting ispreferred
• Paint manufacturercertification(s) preferred
• Abilityto spray water borne and solvent highlypreferred
