POSITION SUMMARY
The Receiver position is responsible for ensuring parts and product is shipped and received accurately and in a timely manner.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Pick parts and ensure they are delivered in a timely manner to internal/external locations as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently using various equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, shipping containers, or delivery vehicles.
- Ensure that materials are handled and stacked safely to prevent damage during transportation
- Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking the movement of materials in and out of storage areas.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies.
- Create and maintain documentation related to material movements, such as shipping and receiving records.
- Prepare materials for shipment by packing them securely and labeling packages with shipping information.
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities against purchase orders, and distribute them to the appropriate storage locations.
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment according to customer or production requirements.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Knowledge and experience working within a warehouse environment is an asset.
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment (bending, twisting, stretching, kneeling, squatting, push/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, working at heights).
- Demonstrated ability to focus on details to ensure quality is maintained at all times.
- Must be certified or become certified to use forklift equipment.
- Experience with computers is preferred.
- Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems individually or as a team member and implement effective solutions.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a high volume and multiple demand environment.
