Job Summary As part of the credit union’s risk management infrastructure and second line of defense, the Compliance Analyst assists in the overall implementation of the credit union’s Compliance Management System (CMS), collaborates and communicates with key business partners for the effective operations of the compliance team to ensure the credit union maintains a strong CMS that is effective at managing compliance risk and preventing violations or enabling early detection of potential violations of regulatory requirements and internal policy. A Senior Compliance Analyst maintains expert-level knowledge of regulations and credit union policies and assists in providing end-to-end compliance support for specific regulations and credit union programs. Job Description LOCATION *Mountain America Center 9800 S Monroe St Sandy, UT 84070 *This is a Hybrid position with the expectation of at home and in office shifts SCHEDULE *Full time To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully Manages compliance assessment process, developing and presenting assessment specific training, creating questionnaires, coordinating monitoring processes with Quality Control Teams, analyzing and summarizing assessment results Develop, create, and review existing questionnaires to effectively audit and evaluate areas for adherence to federal regulation, state laws, and MACU policy Develop, implement and oversee the regulatory training of compliance employees in preparation for conducing compliance related monitoring Performs gap analysis of credit union policies and program procedures, working with stakeholders to close gaps Assist with the resolution of compliance issues, providing insight and feedback necessary to the development of effective remediation plans Coordinate with the Talent Development team on organizational compliance training and projects Research and analyze emerging regulatory compliance changes, advising business units in the creation or adaptation of existing processes and procedures to ensure compliance Monitor the implementation of regulatory changes into business operations in a comprehensive, timely, and collaborative manner. Ensuring updates to processes and procedures are added to business units written procedures Prepare written reports and dashboards containing results of compliance assessments and monitoring according to compliance assessment schedule Utilizes strong analytical and decision-making abilities in order to interpret data and reports as well as conduct root cause analysis Applies subject matter knowledge of compliance topics, providing regulatory support to BUs Effectively manages multiple priorities and consistently meets established deadlines Completes special projects as assigned Performs all other regulatory compliance duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Experience Minimum 4 years of similar or related experience in compliance Education Four-year degree or equivalent Licenses, Certificates, Registrations Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) or other related certifications preferred Computer/Office Equipment Skills Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) Managerial Responsibility No managerial responsibilities Language Skills Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form. Other Skills and Abilities · Has working knowledge of regulations, including, but not limited to BSA, OFAC, FACT Act, GLBA, Regulation CC (Funds availability), Regulation DD (TISA), Regulation E, UDAAP, Reg. B, Reg. Z, RESPA, HMDA, Fair Lending, FCRA, and CARD Act and other regulations as required by law as it relates to his/her position · Excellent report writing and oral communication skills · Presentation skills · Proficiency in data analytics and data validation · Advanced critical thinking skills · Time management PHYSICAL ABILITIES / WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Demands Long periods of computer and office machine use. Requires sitting, stooping and kneeling for filing, use of hands and fingers, ability to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk short distances.
