This position is entirely commission-based. Compensation will be provided solely upon successful sales transactions. There is no hourly wage.
Territory Selection and PermitsYou have the flexibility to choose your target neighborhoods. However, please coordinate with us to ensure no overlap with other sales representatives. Some areas may require solicitation permits, which we will cover once every 30 days. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can assign locations and provide strategic plans for you.
Flexible ScheduleThis role offers complete scheduling flexibility. You may work at your convenience, whether that means taking extended breaks or only working during certain seasons.
Sales ApproachYou are not confined to traditional door-to-door sales. Feel free to leverage any method that suits you, such as social gatherings or casual meetups. As long as you secure a sale, the approach is up to you.
Commission StructureTo earn a commission, you must complete an estimate, which we will thoroughly train you to perform. It is a straightforward process, and if you can use a measuring tape, you will be capable of conducting estimates.
If you refer a customer who makes a purchase, you will receive a $250 referral fee, regardless of who completes the estimate.
Payment TermsYou will be compensated as soon as the customer makes a deposit. There is no need to wait until the completion of the project.
Work EnvironmentYou are welcome to involve your spouse or children in your work, which may even enhance your interactions with potential customers. Our experience shows that retirement-age couples often excel in this role due to their relatable presence.
Employment DetailsThis is a W-2 position, not a 1099 contractor role. Liability insurance is not required, as you will be covered under our workers' compensation and liability insurance.
Provided MaterialsWe will supply business cards, marketing materials, estimating sheets, a measuring wheel, logo t-shirts, and any necessary permits. All other expenses will be your responsibility.
Professional ConductYou should maintain a professional appearance and positively represent our company. A background check is required.
TrainingA one-day training session at our Wellsville office is mandatory. We will instruct you on engaging potential customers, conducting estimates, and equip you with all the tools needed for success.
Performance ExpectationsMaintain realistic expectations. There will be long days without sales and short days with multiple successes. The average success rate is 2%, meaning you may need to contact 50 potential customers to secure one sale. Persistence is key.
