Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse or distribution center.

Duties:

- Receive and inspect incoming lumber materials
- Organize and store lumber in designated areas
- Operate various equipment such as order pickers, forklifts, clamp trucks, cherry pickers to move and transport lumber
- Prepare lumber orders for delivery
- Maintain accurate inventory records using a warehouse management system
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures

Experience:

- Previous experience in a warehouse or lumber yard preferred
- Mechanical knowledge for operating equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques for lumber products
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems for inventory control (training provided)
