Summary: The Area Manager is responsible for the development and growth of the assigned market. This position is responsible for managing, training, coaching, mentoring and aiding in the recruiting of existing branches as well as new branches, loan officers and support staff. Additional duties include supporting employees in the management of pipelines, meeting sales goals, and contributing to reaching the company objectives. The Area manager will have a high level of focus and responsibility for recruiting activities and market growth initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
·Directs and aids retail branch managers in the training, recruiting, compliance, and human resource management of retail branch employees.
·Establishes monthly goals and objectives, in accordance with compensation agreement.
·Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and is responsible for compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
·Regularly travels throughout assigned territory to visit and assist regular and prospective customers for new business.
·Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense records.
·Insures adequate reporting and support is in place for pipeline management and client experience in the market.
·Coordinates employee training and new employee orientations.
·Develops and maintains relationships with inside operation staff, customers, and branches.
·Investigates and resolves customer/retail branch problems with loan process from origination to closing.
·Attends trade shows and other industry events.
·Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
·Supervisors have day-to-day oversight responsibility for ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory laws as they relate to the functions within their department.

Education/Experience
·A combination of 5 years of industry sales experience and 2 years of retail management experience
·Extensive knowledge of current mortgage loan regulatory requirements/guidelines, residential loan products, loan processing functions, underwriting and closing procedures
·A strong base of business relationships with proven track record in meeting sales projections as established by supervisor.
·Strong organizational, supervisory, people and time management skills

·Ability to adapt, communicates, and train on all required company platforms (LOS, intranet, email, etc.)
Math Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts and to verify accuracy. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
