In this role, you'll:
Develop and implement a comprehensive college and career readiness program aligned with Arkansas Department of Education standards.
Deliver engaging workshops and individual sessions tailored to diverse student needs and interests.
Guide students through self-assessment, exploration activities, and goal-setting exercises.
Assist students with college research, application processes, and financial aid exploration.
Facilitate mock interviews and resume writing workshops, preparing students for success beyond high school.
Collaborate with teachers and counselors to integrate college and career readiness into the curriculum.
Track student progress, analyze data, and report on program effectiveness.
Partner with community organizations and colleges to provide exposure to career opportunities.

? Work in collaboration with counselors, school personnel, career coach project director, and
industry to provide career coaching supporting student career pathways and area workforce and economic development
? Assist in the systemic development and implementation of Student Success Plans (SSPs)
? Host and/or assist with ACT Academies designed to reduce remediation rates and increase ACT scores
? Build and maintain partnerships with industry in order to provide educational and training
connections for students, including work-based learning opportunities
? Be a liaison connecting industry partners to the school district
? Provide informational career exploration opportunities, including career cluster camps
? Provide organization and leadership for the Arkansas College Application Campaign (ACAC)
? Maintain an accurate and adequate database of educational and workforce transitions
? Monitor student progressions related to the individualized Student Success Plan and program
metrics
? Provide/assist with education/training informational sessions and career exploration events
? Maintain a line of communications between all stakeholders in service to education, industry,
and career development
? Maintain quality partnerships and ongoing collaboration between all stakeholders in service to education and industry
? Provide transition assistance from school to school/training or school to work or school to

Technical and Personal Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, human services, workforce development, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
Trained in career coaching/facilitation or a willingness to receive training
Clear a Background Check through the Arkansas Department of Education state and federal criminal records checks
Clear a Central Registry Check through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry system, a division of the Arkansas Department of Human Services
The Career Coach will be required to complete ADE/CTE Career Coach Facilitation Training and must be committed to the success of the program, including measuring and reporting of program metrics

Skill Requirements:
Must be a dependable, organized, and effective communicator
Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time, be able to do data entry for long periods of time, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Must be available to travel frequently as needed
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: Salary is $40,000. This position is grant funded through DESE/CTE and subject to grant renewal funding
Employment and benefits: Coordinated through Guy Fenter Cooperative
Supervision: The Career Coach will meet regularly with the ATU Pilot Project Director for training and guidance as well as with designated Mountainburg School District personnel. Evaluation of the School District Career Coach will be the responsibility of the High School Principal in collaboration with Guy Fenter Director and ATU Ozark Project Director
