Technical and Personal Qualifications:
Valid Arkansas Educator Certification and Licensure 286 or 102
Clear a Background Check through the Arkansas Department of Education state and federal criminal records checks
Clear a Central Registry Check through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry system, a division of the Arkansas Department of Human Services
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: Starting salary for Bachelor’s degree is $50,000. The annual salary is divided into 12 installments, so you receive a steady income over the course of the contract year. Additional compensation is available for additional duties including activity sponsorship, coaching, tutoring, or advanced degrees. See salary schedule.
Insurance: The District offers an excellent benefits package through AR Benefits Health Advantage plan options, with the option to purchase health care, dental, vision, and disability income insurance packages. The District contributes $234.50 monthly towards health insurance. Retirement: Employees are members of the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System vested with five years of service and eligible to draw retirement benefits at age sixty. Visit https://www.artrs.gov/ for more information.

Leave: Sick leave is given at a rate of one day per month, with 10 days for a 190 contract, plus 2 days of personal leave. Personal leave may accumulate up to five days which then rolls over to sick leave. A sick leave donation bank is available.
