Our company is growing, and we are in search of a quality-focused individual with a great work ethic to join our manufacturing team as a Quality Assurance Technician.
What You will be Doing
As a Quality Assurance Technician you would be responsible for ensuring that the products meet the company's high standards of manufacturing quality. Careful inspections and the enforcement of quality standards. The QA Technician will ensure that the testing of our products is in compliance with the engineered specifications and craftmanship standards. Ensure the proper quality control plans are documented and implemented throughout the manufacturing environment.
The Quality Assurance Technician is a nonexempt hourly position and generally works 4 ten-hour days with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime may be required on occasion.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform quality measurement and inspection of products (work in process, finished goods and experimental products) to make sure they comply to the standard.
- Review and testing of product non-conformances for root cause determination, disposition, and documentation. Communication with production and engineering.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Participate in the creation of work instructions, control plans for manual and machine operations required.
- Utilize measuring and testing equipment to perform inspections such as calipers, micrometers, and digital voltmeters.
- Conducts quality audits of the manufacturing process to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Provides training and guidance to production team on quality control procedures and practices.
- Provides ideas and actively participates in the implementation of written suggestions for continuous improvements.
- Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Associates of Science - Engineering Technology, Military Technical Program or relevant field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions.
- Ability to use hand tools and digital electronic test equipment.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well with others.
- Excellent attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills
- 3 years of Quality Assurance or testing experience in a Manufacturing environment.
