Position Overview:

A rare and exciting opportunity with a mining and chemical processing facility located 50 miles south of Las Vegas, NV. MP Materials owns and operates Mountain Pass, the only integrated Rare Earth mining and processing site in North America. Rare Earths power the modern economy. They are essential components in a wide range of industrial, clean energy and information technology applications. The MP Materials facilities are currently undergoing major and rapid expansion to meet growing global demand.

Custodians will maintain cleanliness throughout the Mountain Pass Site facilities, general daily tasks consists of standard industry cleaning of office spaces, restrooms, meeting rooms, appliances, walk ways, storage spaces, training centers, operational control rooms in a high pace atmosphere. Candidate must be able to communicate with area clients, keep an organized work area, perform quality maintenance inspections reporting unresolved matter to supervisor, complete daily check off list, have current drivers license, able to lift up to 35 lbs. routinely while demonstrating proper lifting techniques, have general experience and knowledge of standard industrial building requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

• Industrial/commercial custodial or janitorial experience required
• Perform daily checklists on I-Pad
• Perform all levels of cleaning activities
• Inspect Fixtures and appliances for operability
• Use of chemical cleaning agents
• Maintain Custodial Storage Areas
• Able to lift 15 lbs. overhead
• Vending Services
• Grounds Keeping, pulling weeds, picking up trash from landscape, able to operate gas/electric blowers
• Snow Cleaning and de-icing
• Window Washing
• Applying Silicone
• Filing dispensers
• Trash Removal
• Clear communications
• Drive work buggy, truck or van to Facility locations
• Report Facility Deficiencies
• Complete operability Inspections on Building Doors, Windows and appliances
• Deep Cleaning
• Floor, maintenance, sweeping, striping and waxing
• Interior/Exterior Painting
• Replace Celling Tiles
• Able to work with leadership on strategies and new products that optimize work performance
• Self-driven and detail oriented.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Safety Minded with a strong desire to meet all standards

Required Experience:

• Must have good cleaning habits, knowledge of cleaning tools and standards, attention to detailed
• Must have the ability to plan organized cleaning methods for schedule efficiency
• Must have average building design requirement knowledge
