As a Product Specialist you will work with product engineers, other specialists and supervisors to establish and maintain effective manufacturing processes and procedures to assure production of quality products at optimum cost. Direct the activity of personnel to solve production and technical problems, quality and interpretation of specifications.
BROAD FUNCTION:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assure that only products which meet requirements are released for delivery through defect identification and resolution.
- Work with Product Engineer to implement plans for reduction of loss causing mechanism in the process.
- Provide ideas, assistance and training to maximize the efficient use of equipment and operators in production.
- Build products, product performance testing, trouble shooting and parameter adjustments to ensure quality products.
- Maintain quality control files, logs, etc.
- Perform quality audits incurring practices conform to work instructions/travelers/ customer specifications.
- Train operators and inspectors to verify controls, plan and implement adjustments to assure projected results are achieved.
- Foster a positive team environment by assisting in production, repair and customer returns, as needed.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with operators, supervisors, and maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two year technical degree from an accredited Technical College and/or equivalent military avionics/electronics training.
- Knowledge of basic AC and DC electric circuits and understand electrical measuring techniques to insure accurate measurements and maintain a safe working environment.
- Experience soldering preferred.
- Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proficient use of gauges, fixtures, and hand tools.
- Ability or experience using calipers, microscope/magnifiers and other measuring devices.
- Must adapt to day to day changes and maintain multiple product lines.

- Handling of solvents such as alcohol, acetone, and trichloroethylene.
- Position requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, sitting, and reaching motions.
