KDB Consultant Job Function Summary We are looking for a results oriented Quantitative Developer to join a small dynamic group focusing on index or delta-one trading in our global trading division. We are at the forefront of industry-leading initiatives applying technology, quantitative analysis, and data-driven methodologies to our execution process. Our team provides synthetic exposure to various products for our PMs across the firm. To perform these functions, our real-time trading system is crucially supported by a quantitative analytics framework. As a Quantitative Developer within the Synthetic Products Book, you will have the opportunity to drive the development of this framework. You will collaborate with fellow technologists to improve our real-time trading systems and build new products and strategies. You will assist with the evaluation and design of new analytics tools and other trading services. Principal Responsibilities Build and develop our reference data platform, which is responsible for providing corporate actions, symbology, equity index compositions & risk models. Build and develop analytics and tools to be used for the development of new products and trading strategies. Collaborate with our real-time technologists and traders to establish best practice and support models. Qualifications/Skills Required 5 years of KDB experience. Experience with pykx is a bonus. Prior experience working with Equities reference or static data and corporate actions. Ability to work on iterative or exploratory projects essential. Highly analytical and strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical and sophisticated concepts clearly and concisely. The estimated rate for this position is $900 to $1800 per day/hour, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing the rate, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role.
