MPS Group, INC is hiring a Traveling Environmental Field Technician's for our Middletown, Ohio location. As an Environmental Field Technician, you will be a valued member of our field operations team. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will be performed in various industrial settings, inside and out, such as: chemical plants, steel mills, automotive plants, power plants, or any other such industrial environments.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School education desired but not mandatory. Ability to understand basic equipment operating instructions, safe work practices, commercial and industrial processes, and the ability to work smart.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- Loading equipment and materials for the job.
- Unloading equipment and materials upon arrival to the job.
- Re-loading equipment and materials upon completion of the job.
- Sets up vacuum hose and waterblast hose as directed.
- Confined space entry into tanks, pits, or other confined spaces when needed.
- Inspects, uses, and maintains various personal protection equipment including chemical protective suits, respiratory protection, safety harnesses, and air monitoring equipment.
- Uses various manual tools and equipment to affect industrial cleaning operations (i.e., shovels, scrapers, rakes, squeegies, etc.)
- Manually cleans, mucks out and de-sludges various industrial systems, including paint pits, eliminators, dip tanks, process tanks, conveyors, etc.
- Adhere to quality and safety requirements while on the job.
- Performs yard, shop, equipment maintenance, and housekeeping duties as directed.
- Any indicated site-specific responsibilities.

- Must have manual dexterity sufficient for use of small hand tools, handling of small parts (ex: nuts/bolts), and working with hands at various positions (ex: overhead, front, low).
