Description
Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of thrust reverses (the braking system on a jet engine), engine nacelle components and specialized aerostructures. It supplies and supports these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers and aircraft operators. Located on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore, MRAS has a 1.7-million sq. ft. facility situated on 180 acres – where the company and its predecessors have designed, built and equipped civil and military aircraft for nearly 90 years. In 2019, MRAS was acquired by VT Systems, the U.S. affiliate of Singapore-based ST Engineering – becoming a part of its global network of aerospace facilities and offices. With the ownership change, the company was renamed Middle River Aerostructure Systems.
Role Summary:
Responsible for supporting all aspects of the outbound shipping process by preparing appropriate documentation, performing corresponding system transactions, and tracking shipments/verifying deliveries
Role Responsibility:
• Processing outbound shipments/packing lists/packages for all programs
• Preparing outbound Bill of Ladings for all LTL and Exclusive Truck load shipments and coordinating daily pickups
• Preparing outbound Shipping Labels for Ground and Air Express, and International Express shipments
• Checking/verifying all paperwork against shipments for Export processing
• Working with program management for customer shipment tracking/verification of deliveries
• Performing transactions in multiple systems, e.g. FedEx, DHL, UPS, Pratt & Whitney/Ryder, Oracle, SAP
• Other tasks as needed
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus a minimum of 1-3 years of Shipping experience in a manufacturing environment or other similar industry. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to understand requests and problems, inform on status, and negotiate solutions

Salary : $46,500 - $58,800
