Lead Developer
The Digital Lead is responsible for overseeing the work of the growing MRi digital team in executing promotional projects for our clients. This will include a variety of consumer engagement and promotional tactics.
The ideal candidate for this role will have managerial experience with direct reports and a background in front and backend website development. You’re able to talk high-level strategy with our internal teams on potential projects, help manage our team's resources and schedule, and get in the trenches with our digital and project teams to deliver amazing work for our clients. We’ll also look to this person to establish innovative techniques to support promotional strategies.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our new business and client strategy teams to review incoming projects and provide the best solutions for execution
- Act as our digital lead across different projects, covering everything from initial concepts to delivery
- Conduct business analysis and research for incoming projects from sales and client strategy team
- Manage our Senior Developer and Systems Administrator.
- Work closely with our Senior Developer to consistently support, assess, and delegate projects to our team of developers
- Develop processes and procedures to ensure continuous process improvement with MRi’s team
- Take finalized mockups from the Creative and Marketing teams and bring them to life on the web through clean and proficient coding that displays flawlessly between devices
- Staying up to date on marketing trends – Research current and potential technology and digital trends that may impact consumer engagement and promotions.
- Comfortable speaking with clients as the subject matter expert for MRI digital experience.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in digital and marketing technology, including web development, ideally using open-source software
- Experience working both independently as well as part of a team
- The ability to context switch across a number of topics and tasks
- Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders
- Agency experience is a huge plus (web, experiential, design/branding, etc) a big plus.
- Excellent understanding of e.g., Node.js, Go, Ruby on Rails, Java, PHP, Perl, SQL, HTML, .Net, JavaScript or CSS
- Basic level Infrastructure knowledge including (amongst others) RESTful APIs, Single Sign On, LDAP, LAMP, Search Technologies
- Understanding of Cloud Web, application, database, and ability to develop in full-tier
- Experience working with AWS
Salary Range
- $90,000-$110,000
