Our well-established, privately-owned manufacturing client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for their Urbana, OH plant to, coordinate, organize, and oversee all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company's goods. This individual will interact with cross functional teams at various levels of the organization. This role reports to the VP of Operations and manages a department of 2-3 employees.
Supply Chain Manager Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Utilize ERP to Create and expedite work orders as needed.
- Expand company’s usage of our current ERP system.
- Train others on proper integration of our systems
- Create purchase orders per requisition or ERP demand.
- Expedite jobs and processes to meet and accommodate production schedules and establish shop floor control.
- Create/edit bills of material and work-order routings.
- Manage Cycle Count process, report results, reconcile, and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor, analyze, and report performance by utilizing information obtained from various reports and systems.
- Ensure timely work-order closure, resolve variances and drive corrective actions as needed.
- Execute transactions such as receipts to manufacturing, material issues, labor and other inventory related entries and adjustments.
- Support the team’s objectives.
- Lead the team
- Prior experience with Lean/5S desired.
Supply Chain Manager Requirements:
- A four-year degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent. Experience with ERP/ MRP. APICS certification is a plus.
- Previous management experience a plus.
- Able to work within a team environment and exhibit good interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated
- Well organized
