PROCESS TECHNICIAN
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Process Technician is responsible for set-up & adjustment operations as per D.O.P.?s & industry accepted standards, set up department equipment and provide work direction, training, and guidance to personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review work orders for the day; assign work for the shift.
Ensure an adequate supply of materials for area operations.
Set up department equipment and machinery to including all secondary equipment. Troubleshoot machinery.
Schedules work for operators, train and provide guidance as required.
Ensure that operators comply with established safety regulations and department policies.
Perform first shot approvals using Q.A. measuring equipment
Monitor and review production/labor reports.
Supervise the maintenance of the cleanliness of the department.Perform housekeeping activities to maintain work area and assure cleanliness of environment.
Operate equipment as needed.
Trouble shoot jobs as necessary to maintain quality & production standards.
Clean filters, grinders & auxiliary equipment as necessary.
Set up molds and set adjustments following the Work Instructions or D.O. P.?s.
Maintain the molds; clean molds in chemical solutions; perform blasting and cold jet procedures, examine for wear and defects, and forward to the tool room for repair.
Perform SPC and press checks at required intervals.
Follow and update DOP's for the department.
Provide assistance to press operators on production runs; resolve production problems and trouble shoot jobs as required. Document parameter discrepancies to supervisor and engineering. Follow up on changes needed to processes.
Maintain the required records and files.
Perform supervisory activities to include work direction, scheduling, and shipping in supervisor's absence.
Perform minor maintenance, as needed, on machines and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
