Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Priority and major KPI’s will be based around the sales targets for the government market.
Responsible for analyzing the market for sales opportunities for MSA products, developing strategies to capture these opportunities and executing these strategies either individually or in partnership with local sales team members.
“Hands on” leadership to deliver vital relationships required with key target customers.
Interface between end users, MSA Segment Marketing Managers and Service Team is required in order to fulfil sales objectives.
Ensure through MSA Segment Marketing Managers that all products comply with the governmental standards, local standards, legal requirements, safety standards and the high ethical standard of Corporate MSA.
Prepare and conduct presentations, seminars and product demonstrations for end users to drive our growth.
Identify product coverage and fitness gaps to MSA Management.
Identify customer coverage gaps and devise coverage plan in conjunction with Sales Management.
Ensure effective communication and forecasting for continuity of supply with other departments.
Assist in the completion of the Government Strategy each year detailing a business plan for the next 12 months within their area of focus in conjunction with managers and implementation of business plan activities in timely and focused manner.
Represent MSA at local trade shows, meetings and conventions as required.
KPIs – Meet assigned sales growth targets for Federal Government Sales through GSA, direct contracts or Government Pinnacle distribution partners.
Qualifications
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Demonstration of sales achievements that includes development of the sale, closing, and implementation at headquarter levels and other internal government departments.
Department of Defense program level sales experience.
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, virtual, presentation and interpersonal).
Proven analytical ability and solid leadership qualities.
Demonstrated ability to grasp technical product knowledge.
Ability to travel 30-40% domestically, primarily in the designated geographic area.
Demonstrated ability to execute sales plans and overcome obstacles.
Excellent computer skills including Salesforce, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proven planning and organizational skills.
Proven success in training.
Education and Experience Required:
This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.:
Level I: 6 years sales experience
Level II: 8 years sales experience
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or educational academic equivalent. 4 years of relevant work experience may be substituted and considered for a bachelor’s degree.
