Responsibilities
2nd Shift - (Monday through Friday - 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm)
$20.46/hr plus Shift Differential
1st Shift training may be required
MSA Safety in Cranberry Township, PA is now hiring for a Warehouse Operator at our manufacturing plant. This position will work under supervision of the Supervisor and perform shipping and warehouse tasks including paperwork, computer transactions, and maintain safety performing the job.
Responsibilities:
- Complete and maintain relevant paperwork, by sorting, filing, organizing, and bar code scanning. Manually enter data in the computer system, including customer invoicing and recording serial numbers.
- Strong attention to detail to prevent damage and loss of materials or products.
- Pick, pack and prepare outgoing shipments for customer orders using a variety of shipping methods. Schedule freight carriers for outbound shipments daily. Ensure proper shipping standards to reduce risk of product damage in transit. Comply with the US Department of Transportation and International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulation.
- Ability to perform standard software operations including SAP, UPS, and FedEx.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Must attain and maintain a Department of Transportation Basic and Advanced Hazardous Material certification bi-annually.
- Must attain and maintain an OSHA powered industrial truck certification bi-annually with an acceptable safety record.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved
- Safety toe shoes Other PPE as required per JSA
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds
Experience preferred:
- Familiarity with SAP, UPS, WMS and FedEx shipping and knowledge of creating shipping documentation, including international.
- Knowledge of scheduling freight.
- Fork and picker truck operation experience preferred, and ability to learn other equipment as necessary.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Access, Excel.
- 2-4 years of warehouse experience preferred.
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
