Engineering and Architectural Design Trade Assistant

The Oxford Hills Technical School (Maine Vocational Region 11) enrolls over 500 students from
11 towns in Western Maine. OHTS is seeking a dedicated individual to support our
well-established Engineering and Architectural Design program. The Trade Assistant works
under the direction of the EAD instructor to assist with supervision and instruction in classroom
and live work settings.

This full-time position will begin on August 21, 2024 and entail 181 work days of the school
year through June of 2025. The Trade Assistant will create a safe learning environment that
encourages student engagement, while effectively delivering the program curriculum to prepare
students to work in the field. The successful candidate will possess a desire to work with young
people and mechanical aptitude. Previous training and experience in CAD, with such programs
as Auto Desk Suite or similar software, is required. The position includes medical insurance and
other benefits, and has a salary range of $33,000 – $45,000 per year based on the level of
education and years of experience in the trade.
