Job Description
The Solution Delivery Leader will work as a member of our Manufacturing IT Analytics Delivery Team. He/she will provide leadership, and be primarily accountable, for delivery of analytical solutions across the key areas of our Manufacturing Division, including manufacturing/shopfloor, quality/labs, and supply chain. The incumbent will be responsible for working with business stakeholders, matrixed IT delivery teams, and client service leaders, among others, to manage the end-to-end delivery of IT solutions. Significant collaboration with our Manufacturing Division and IT platform areas is required. Major responsibilities include
Develop domain expertise in key manufacturing business processes, systems, and data
Engage our Manufacturing Division partners to build strong partnerships and understand analytical needs and associated business case / value
Ensure robust solution architectures aligned with standard platforms & technologies in the Big Data and Analytics space
Develop detailed delivery plans, including scope, financials, timelines, staffing, etc.
Manage delivery execution, including SDLC, risks, issues, status, budget Manage a largely matrixed development team, including internal and external resources
Coordinate core activities required to drive complex analytics solutions, including data discovery, integration/ETL, curation/contextualization, modeling, and visualization
Collaborate & communicate regularly with stakeholders and senior-level sponsors across diverse areas and functions
Maintain a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiencies into analytics delivery process
Build strong partnerships with platform groups and others in support of our Manufacturing Division Analytics objectives
Support our Manufacturing Division's change management efforts to ensure value realization from investments in analytics
The incumbent is ultimately responsible for delivering robust analytical solutions that drive tangible value for our Manufacturing Division.
The primary location of this position is flexible.
Education Minimum Requirement:
BA/BS in business management, software engineering / computer science, data analytics or related field preferred.
Required Experience and Skills:
10+ years of experience in a IT Delivery capacity
Strong record of providing leadership in an analytical / data-rich environment
Ability to deliver solutions for analytics and data science projects
Fluency with the process of building an analytical solution, include data discovery, data integration, data curation, modeling, and visualization/user experience
Solid grounding in Systems Development Lifecycle & related methodologies
Experience leading teams and mentoring junior employees.
Ability to work in an ambiguous, ever-changing environment where adaptability is highly valued.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including collaboration, facilitation and negotiation.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong continuous improvement focus and mindset.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience in our Manufacturing processes and systems.
Experience with rapid prototyping or working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
An appreciation for advanced analytical techniques such as machine learning, simulation, statistical modeling, etc.
