Who are we hiring?

The Manager, Recruiting – Gaming & Engineering will manage full life cycle recruiting for broad range of positions within for MSG Ventures Software Engineering organization which is the team developing tools, products and experiences for Sphere. The Sphere is a new spherical entertainment venue crossing over the lines of traditional media and entertainment. The space contains an external LED media plane, an internal four-acre screen, a revolutionary audio system delivering beam forming audio, 18,000 seats and a massive internal volumetric space waiting for new shows, artist residencies and other forms of entertainment. This position will recruit and hire staff as directed, including working with hiring managers in the requisition intake process, scoping positions, working with compensation department on position pricing, securing approvals, creating and executing posting and direct sourcing strategies, assessing and interviewing candidates, and guiding and coaching hiring managers through the process of attracting and on boarding best in class Technical talent.

What will you do?

  • Manage full life cycle recruitment for MSG Ventures, MSG Corporate Technology requisitions and you may be asked to support other studio-based roles as needed.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to identify, attract, and recruit top technical talent that aligns with and meets key business priorities
  • Use innovative sourcing and marketing/branding techniques to engage both active and passive candidates; sourcing tools include but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and industry-oriented sites & blogs
  • Create pipeline of high-quality technical talent and understands how to source for niche skills; and foster long-term relationships with them for future positions
  • Collaborate with business and People Practices partners to develop a strong understanding of department culture, business strategy and talent profiles to deliver on the hiring needs of the business
  • Conduct in-depth screens and assesses potential candidates for level of interest, qualifications, compensation and convert hard to find passive talent through your understanding of the business and employee value proposition
  • Provide appropriate coaching and guidance on the interviewing and selection process to all hiring managers
  • Actively manage client and candidate experience and expectations throughout the recruitment process
  • Lead offer preparation and negotiations with candidates
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market intelligence, and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in a competitive market for talent
  • Maintain and support the reporting processes and is excited to tell stories with data
  • Participate in people acquisition related events (i.e. job/career fairs)

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5 years recruiting Technology and Engineering talent.
  • Experience working within a Production environment that has either shipped a game, created an immersive experience, developed AR/VR mixed reality technologies, or have worked with niche or “never been done before” technology.
  • Strong understanding of Boolean search language and knows where to test your strings
  • Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems, iCIMS is plus
  • Can speak in “tech talk” and manage discussions with different walks of Tech talent
  • The ideal candidate loves to recruit and can think creatively to help identify the best in class talent in emerging spaces
  • Has a strong client service bias and a positive, can-do attitude ensuring that all client needs are met
  • Holds the candidate and hiring manager experience in high regard and can demonstrate agility and patience through difficult situations
  • Responsive and focused on the quality of hire while maintaining a sense of urgency to meet all client needs
  • Experience developing reporting, aggregating data to share with client group
  • Enjoys process and identifying opportunities to continually improve
