Job Summary

Our manufacturing company is searching for a Quality Inspector who can uphold the safety policies our company has created and oversee the product development process to ensure that all products meet quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tests on products at various stages of production to ensure that customer specifications are being met and company quality standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

2. Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.

3. Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.

4. Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.

5. Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calibrations; calling for repairs.

6. Develop and conduct a variety of tests on inbound materials from vendors and outbound products for shipping

7. Ensure that all of the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase and recommend changes as needed

8. Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken

9. Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality

10. Create process checklists and coordinate quality inspections with departmental managers

11. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

12. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

13. Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Education and Experience

· Preferred 2 years of quality experience in manufacturing (e.g. aerospace or defense markets preferred)

· High School diploma/GED required

· Ability to read drawings and technical background (Knowledge of GD&T preferred)

· Microsoft Office/Spreadsheets

· Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Documentation Skills, Promoting Process Improvement, Safety Management, Managing Processes, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Supports Innovation, CAD, Quality Engineering, Operations Research

· Six Sigma Green Belt certification (a plus)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
