Current Hiring Rate:$15.50/hour Tips! (non-exempt, hourly role). If you're returning from Winter 21-22, this position is eligible for our $.50 Returner Rate!
We like to carry our stoke of the mountain into every corner of our Food & Beverage department. From our 2 base lodges to our mid-mountain lodge sitting at 7,800 feet, we offer just about every style of service. Across these lodges our Food & Beverage department offers a full-service sit-down restaurant, multiple cafeterias, full-service bars, and our well-loved Pinnacles coffee shops. Positions available would be primarily for one outlet, but employees may occasionally be asked to help in other outlets, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills across the ski resort.
If working at Pine Marten Lodge be prepared for daily lift rides which can be cold, rainy, snowy, or wet.

The right Server uplifts the dining experience at Mt. Bachelor outlets. Servers should be professional, patient, and above all have personality. Our goal is the ensure guest satisfaction and have fun doing it!

Major Responsibilities/Daily Essential Functions:

  • Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment by greeting and acknowledging every guest, answering commonly asked questions, and moving the guest through the service process in a timely manner.
  • Be familiar with all products, up-sell items and give recommendations according to current promotions.
  • Accurately ring in all items and adhere to department standards and accounting practices.
  • Handle cash accurately and always keep Mt. Bachelor assets safe.
  • Have working knowledge of computers and POS system.
  • Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
  • Consistently pre-bussing, bussing, expediting, and waiting tables to outlets standards.
  • Keep assigned areas and server stations clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
  • Working knowledge of food and drink menus to include but not limited to ingredients info, potential allergens, sources, preparations, presentation, chef, or manager's vision of product and more.
  • Responsible for claiming tips made each shift on a Tip Report. Also responsible for accurate paperwork at the end of each shift.
  • Accountable for maintaining accurate and appropriate inventories of server monitored products and notifying manager when items need to be ordered.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate and effective working relationships with internal and external guests, as well as Mt. Bachelor employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be comfortable working in customer-oriented environment with guests of unknown origins within a potential COVID exposure scenario.
  • Accountable for accurate time keeping. Responsible for clocking in and out with employee pass.
  • Adheres to service standards set forth by OLCC, Mt Bachelor, Deschutes County Health Department.

  • Complete any reasonable task assigned by supervisor.
  • Observe mountain wide policies found in the Employee Handbook.

Requirements:

Specific Job Skills/Certifications:

License/Certifications- OLCC and Oregon Food Handler's Card.

Technical- POS experience preferred. Basic computer skills required.

Physical Capabilities- Carry food trays with multiple orders and drinks. Constant walking, lifting, and carrying.

Additional- Must have a positive attitude and a proactive approach to anticipating needs and getting things done. Flexible with hours and days of work. Able to work any hours of the day, any days of the week. Must have good communication skills, people skills, memory, and multi-tasking skills.

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required- High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum time in related position- 1 years serving experience in a high-volume outlet.
