    Director of Special Education

    Mt. Blue Regional School District (RSU 9) is a public PreK-Adult district of approximately 2,400 students located in the beautiful Western Foot Hills of Chesterville, Farmington, Industry, New Sharon, New Vineyard, Starks, Temple, Vienna, Weld and Wilton, Maine. We are seeking a Special Services Leader who will help build connections system-wide, improve school-to-home collaborations, and develop financial initiatives through MaineCare reimbursement. The right candidate will be highly organized, innovative and focused on results. Like many, we develop services based on student and staff needs year-to-year. If you have knowledge of, and experience with best practices in Special Education, MaineCare billing, MTSS, academic and behavior interventions, and team building we encourage you to apply.

    Qualifications:

    • Must hold, or be eligible to hold an Administrator of Special Education Endorsement grades PK-12 in Maine (030).
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in team and consensus building.
    • A minimum of three years teaching experience & three years of special education administrative experience preferred

    Salary range: Administrative contract-driven, depending on experience, with a competitive benefits package and 260-day contract.
