The Master Data Specialist is responsible for all data management activities within the Americas region. This individual acts as a quality gatekeeper by interacting with and training local data stewards, driving change in the region to deepen and widen the use of data, and standardizing processes and helps to improve data quality and consistency.

- Responsible for the day-to-day management of strategic master data (base data) within the region.
- Performs deduplication and other quality checks to ensure the high quality of master data.
- Checks and approves base data creation or data change requests.
- Consults on locally provided and used templates for automatic data creation.
- Understands different regional businesses and related data management needs.
- Maintains a good relationship with the local data stewards.
- Coordinates cleansing and retrofit activities with local data stewards.
- Ensures a “knowledge-sharing” culture by communicating with the local business people, the local data stewards, and the global master data management team (Global data object experts).
- Fulfills agreed Service Level Agreements with efficient ticket dispatching in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitors ticket resolution success and ticket prioritization.
- Assists to improve validation and quality checks.
- Provide necessary training to the local data stewards and local power users within the region.
- Provide input and recommendations for training improvements.
- Acts as contact for the Global material data object expert.
- Other duties may be assigned.
What You Need to Succeed:
- 2-3 years working experience with SAP ERP and/or SAP CRM preferred, especially in the area of customer and vendor data, or being an MDM key user during the SAP migration in the US with excellent knowledge of the local business.
- Language skills: Proficient in English.
- Analytically strong with a good understanding of customer management processes.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work on a global team with understanding and respect of different cultures.
