What are the responsibilities and job description for the PEDIATRIC PSYCHOLOGIST - AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS position at MT WASHINGTON PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL?
Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking applicants for the position of pediatric psychologist, with a focus on the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorders.
Interested applicants should have experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic manner via a cognitive-behavioral approach, with specialty training in autism spectrum disorders considered a plus.
The psychologist in the position may also be asked to participate in group therapy with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
From an assessment perspective, familiarity / expertise in the ADOS-2, CARS-2, and other autism specific measures (across early childhood through adolescence) would be valuable, as well as experience with psychological assessment.
The psychologist in this position will have the opportunity to supervise students both in assessment and treatment as well, and to participate in the development of programming for families of children on the autism spectrum who are in need of support.
Applicants will also have the opportunity to participate in other areas of clinical interest if interested, including MWPH's feeding day treatment program, pediatric trauma program, general psychological assessment and the MWPH Learning Assessment Center for children with psychoeducational assessment needs.
