Tax Manager

Our client is a small CPA firm based in Newark, and they are looking for a Tax Manager (depending on experience can be Director). Hybrid work model.

Job Duties:

• Review tax returns and provide tax advice for Individuals, Partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations.
• Supervise and review staff’s preparation of tax returns.
• Review financial records such as prior tax return forms, income statements, and documentation of expenditures to determine forms necessary to prepare each return. Contacts and/or follows up with clients to send in documentation needed to substantiate the returns.
• Meet with clients via video or phone.
• Strong willingness and eagerness to learn new technical subject areas and changing tax laws.

Qualifications:

• BA, Accounting
• 5 years of public accounting experience
• CPA
• Excellent communication skills and customer service focused.
