Anderson Paint - General Associate 2nd Shift
Purpose of Position: Contribute to the manufacture of quality plastic injection products for our customers. Ensure product quality and perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate injection equipment as directed by standard operating procedures
- Visually inspect product for defects and flaws at each stage of process following Quality guidelines and processes
- Modify parts to meet specifications using various tools to remove flash and other defects
- Contain parts that do not meet specifications based on Quality guidelines and processes
- Transport parts and/or racks to and from shipping and production areas
- Load and unload parts on conveyor racks
- Accurately utilize NAPS program to update daily production numbers and record data daily
- Mentor and train new hires and temporary associates to proper production standards and processes
- Operate various equipment throughout the plant. May include assembly, injection, paint, maintenance, and/or shipping equipment and/or tools
- Expected to follow all safety, production, quality, and HR policies and procedures always and in a safe manner
- Utilize 5S principles to clean, organize, stock, and prepare your area for incoming shift
- Follow specific written and oral instruction
- Will perform other duties as assigned
Physical/Environmental Conditions:
- Stand/walk at least 8 hrs. a day
- Bend, stoop or kneel
- Use hands and fingers to handle and feel
- Repetitive motions
- Push/Pull 25 to 30 lb. with moderate frequency
- Push/Pull 35 to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Factory floor ranges in extreme temperatures
- Overtime may be required
