Job Description
Primary Objective:
Assembler performs assembly of low complexity mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
Major Areas of Accountability:
- Assembles and configures mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies according to engineering and manufacturing documentation, meets standards for quality, efficiency and schedule and interprets engineering documents to determine results and processes.
- Completes special assignments as directed by the supervisor and/or lead tech.
- Collaborates to maintain accuracy of documents and records per MTS policies.
- Initiates exchange of information on BOM, drawing and documentation corrections through appropriate processes.
- Initiates final documentation decisions.
- Initiates non-conforming materials process.
- Exhibits professionalism on the job.
- Behaves in a respectful manner toward coworkers, engineers and supervisors.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers, engineers and supervisors.
- Maintains knowledge and training in industry, technology and MTS products.
- Participates in required training.
Qualifications
- Up to one year applicable experience in an applicable environment.
- Entry level-basic mechanical knowledge for the assembly of mechanical or hydraulic components.
