Job Description
The Department of Radiology at the University of Missouri (MU) is growing and expanding our Radiology IT group. Our Radiology IT Analysts are responsible for overseeing the operations for the MU Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and other Radiology IT infrastructure. Radiology IT Analysts act as direct liaisons in digital imaging initiatives within the department and other departments and/or facilities. The Radiology IT Analysts are responsible for driving successful integration of the PACS product and related systems support in operating systems, network interface software and system administration software.
Manages day-to-day operations of radiology PACS system and other Radiology IT systems including data QA, corrupted studies, RIS/HIS/PACS interface, etc.
Keeps abreast of current Radiology Information Technology Systems/Applications/etc.
Oversees and works with vendors in all phases of installation and implementation of new and/or existing systems.
Prepares reports for Radiology management on all aspects of medical imaging operations as appropriate or directed.
Assists, trains and provides technical support for all clinical staff (includes but not limited to physicians, technologists, and research staff) in the use of PACS and other Radiology IT systems.
Adheres to department policy and procedures, and practices modality specific safety protocols.
Actively engages in departmental, team and committee initiatives.
Prioritized project and operational work based on importance and urgency.
Maintain, modify, integrate, administer, or configure vendor-supplied, business and/or University-specific applications or tools using scripting language(s) specific to application/program used. Debug or assist in the correction of application programs, interpret abnormal terminations or other inoperable situations and correct system related problems.
Understand data elements, data structures and data definitions formultiple systems/sources. Develop ad hoc and standard reports to fulfill departmental clinical and business reporting needs.
Support radiology researchers and research IT applications.
Perform data verification to ensure the data integrity of clinical (and other) systems both during regular operations and after configuration changes have been made.
Configure software applications as needed/requested to accommodate Radiology workflows and other clinical and administrative needs. Build project plans, quality assurance plans and implementation schedules for requested application/software configurations. Engage end-users in testing prior to implementation.
Develop training plans and/or provide training to users in the operation of new, modified and existing applications.
Perform system troubleshooting based on known or reported problems. Follow standard procedures for problem resolution including documentation and customer follow-up.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary
$50,367-$91,392/year - Salary and level commensurate with education and experience
Shift
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or related field or equivalent desired.
Master’s degree in computer science/information technology or related field preferred.
