Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
• Inspects crates and containers before loading truck for correct shipping labels, manifests, and completed reports.
• Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
• Safely transports raw materials from storage to production and or production to transport.
• Must learn and apply an understanding of production flows and logistics of production line.
• Must update and complete all downtime and production reports.
• Performs forklift equipment safety evaluations.
• Contact and Support for forklift equipment Maintenance Company.
• Stay compliant with applicable DOT regulations.
• Implements continuous improvements to work areas.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or directed by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to convert English/Metric.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must have completed forklift certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.91 - $21.92 per hour
