Job Overview:

The IT Specialist will work directly with the IT team in Florence, KY to provide local support for all users in Auburn Hills and remotely to the Florence, KY locations as needed. Oversees the support of internal customers encountering problems using computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Resolves issues primarily in person, e-mail, and through ticketing system. Establishes and maintains systems that provide solutions to support the entire campus. Develops solutions to reoccurring problems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Resolves technical issues to ensure a quality support environment and to obtain maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Develops plans and objectives and participates in cross-functional projects and business initiatives to improve operational performance for the organization.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of projects and initiatives.
  • Works with internal customers to resolve issues.
  • Interacts with Vendors to provide services and solutions to the facility
  • Resolves customer escalations as appropriate.
  • Strong technical knowledge, able to support a wide set of technologies, this includes Windows 10, Windows Server, Active Directory, AS400, MS Office.
  • Strong customer service and people skills.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, or 3 years equivalent IT experience
  • Strong computer literacy including MS office, Excel skills
  • Can-do positive attitude, strong analytical and investigative skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Focused and driven to not only analyze problems, but collaborate to identify and deliver solutions
  • Ability to work in the detail, but also see the big picture
  • Team player with ability to effectively communicate with those from the shop floor through senior leadership, conveying technology information in a clear, concise and understandable way.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience working in a Germany based (international) organization
  • Bilingual German/Spanish a plus
