SUMMARY:
Product Manager with a proven track record related to sales growth. Performs strategic data research and analysis for the organization’s products and/or services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates with the sales department concerned with providing the customers with technical services in conjunction with sales activities.
Surveys potential markets for increasing sales. Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.
Establishes sales growth opportunities to ensure a share of the market and profitability of products and services.
Prepares sales activity reports showing sales volumes and potential sales.
Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
Ensures effective control of sales results and that corrective action occurs to ensure that sales objectives are achieved within designated budgets.
Researches and analyzes data to identify sales opportunities and inefficiencies in production processes.
Coordinates technical liaison services between management, production department, sales department, and customers with newly developed techniques or practices in processing company products.
Confers with production department managers to assist in a specific classification of products, process technology of competitors, and discuss new specifications required by customers.
Monitors investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerance, specifications, and delivered condition or products. Negotiates settlement of claims, for which the company is responsible, within the limits prescribed by management.
Represents the company at trade association meetings and conferences to promote products.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years of related sales and marketing or data research and analysis experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Commercial Forging market knowledge will be essential and Automotive sales experience preferred.
