To build & process electronic files for lithographic, flexographic, gravure and digital label printing. Use knowledge of printing processes to set up jobs based on customer requirements with quick turnaround. NOTE: This is not a design position.

Responsibilities:
Execute electronic art separations to customer-supplied artwork following internal job tickets while adhering to printer specifications for all print types and materials. This includes, but is not limited to application of traps, overprints, pullbacks, and positive or reverse line requirements, etc.
Color correct and adjust files to match supplied color targets.
Manage multiple jobs in various production stages.
Work with Order Engineers and Image Assembly Supervisors to gain understanding of customer's expectations and file requirements.
Detect any anomalies concerning the files and alert the Order Engineers.
Operate the Macintosh workstation utilizing Prinergy, Adobe Creative Cloud, Esko applications and Hybrid/PackZ.
Adjust prepress setup based onspecial finishing requirements (emboss, hot stamps, varnishes, etc).
Support production team to troubleshoot printing issues.
Support GRE Color Team with press fingerprinting.
Create and distribute electronic proofs & hard color proofs.
Monitor computers, software, and related equipment and report errors or malfunctions.
Participate in creation and updating of department work instructions.
Maintain organization on servers, job folders and databases.
Assist with external communication and file transfers.
Complete required documentation in an accurate and prompt manner.
Perform self-checks and proofread work by other team members in accordance to operating procedures prior to releasing proofs.
Comply with established facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations (IE: ISO, BRC, GMA SAFE, HAACP) as applicable.
Treat all associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining company code of ethics.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Achievement of a Skill Ranking of 3 (Experienced) within one print technology.
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud.
Experience with Hybrid, Esko, GMG or HP Indigo software a plus.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technology including new/upgraded software and hardware.
Understanding color theory and color correction.
Must be detail oriented, well organized, and take pride in delivering quality work.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
Ability to problem-solve and work with minimal supervision
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), however a post high school education with emphasis in Graphic Design or Communications is encouraged or 5 plus years of related experience in the label industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must have demonstrated ability to utilize graphic technologies and procedures to optimize departmental production throughput. Advanced computer skills needed with knowledge of business operating systems, prepress/preflight, internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software. (Esko, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, InDesign)
Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
