Job Summary:

• Opening and/or closing the store, ensuring that proper store procedures and policies are followed when store management is not on duty or unavailable at the counter.
• Taking customer sales orders and quotes, utilizing product and application knowledge to select the product that best meets customer needs.
• Placing, arranging, and maintaining merchandise displays. Recommending new stock items and supporting efforts to reduce or eliminate overstock and/or obsolete material.
• Entering and processing customer orders, quotes, and returns.
• Working collaboratively with the branch manager to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
• Should be able to seamlessly adapt to various roles within the branch.
• Manage and grow sales within assigned accounts, establishing and nurturing relationships with dealers and prospects through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Uphold branch standards by following operational procedures and customer service protocols, proactively resolving operational challenges, and identifying opportunities for work process improvements.
• Perform end-of-day functions, such as closing warehouse queues, manifest processing, document scanning, and loading UPS shipments.
• Assist customers by providing information, addressing inquiries, fulfilling merchandise requests, processing payments, and preparing merchandise for pickup or delivery.
• Support the promotion and sale of products, familiarize oneself with product benefits, attend training seminars, and engage with manufacturer representatives to acquire knowledge and address product-related queries.
• Ensure alignment of branch operations with corporate standards by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
• Uphold company values, maintain confidentiality, and foster a safe and clean environment by conducting equipment inspections and attending safety meetings.
• Continuously enhance job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, expanding personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

• Fluent computer literacy; Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Epicor Solar Eclipse), etc.
• 2 years of experience selling in an industrial counter sales environment
• 2 years of warehouse functions & management
• Ability to process point-of-sale transactions, quotes, and returns
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid state driver’s license
• Forklift experience required
• Authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
