Learn more at www.multicarejobs.orgPosition Summary:The Lab Strategy Manager is responsible for using data driven analysis to focus on the total cost of ownership and make recommendations to key stakeholders, staff and leadership that achieve the best value for NWCL and MultiCare. They will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, drafting, and negotiating MHS & NWCL contracts that may be non-routine and require development of specialized contract vehicles and techniques to accomplish business goals and objectives. The Lab Strategy Manager identifies and evaluates comparative data, market data, and other key contract drivers, and makes presentations of cost/benefit and lease/buy analyses. The Lab Strategy Manager uses negotiation skills and independent judgment and analysis to identify and resolve significant issues that may require development of new contract policies and processes or assessment of required deviations from established norm.The analysis includes cost modeling, quotation analysis, and the identification of industry and category trends. The Lab Strategy Manager identifies opportunities, develops, and executes sourcing action plans and assists in optimizing sourcing procedures and processes. Additionally, the incumbent reviews and assesses applicable financial, clinical, and operational data, along with evidence-based literature, to appropriately assist in the selection, evaluation, monitoring, analysis and implementation of cost-effective products, technologies, services and processes. The Lab Strategy Manager identifies and resolves vendor disputes and ensures contract terms and service levels are being adhered to for the maximum benefit to NWCL& MHS.Minimum Requirements:Seven (7) years of experience to include direct management of supply chain contracts, developing, implementing, operating or maintaining analytics for contract processes and/or business support requiredSupply Chain Analytics experience strongly preferredHealthcare and laboratory experience preferredConsideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum education qualifications Education/Licenses/Certifications:Advanced degree (MS/MBA/JD) required Shift: Day Employment Type: Full-Time Regular
