Position Description
We are seeking a full-time Education Client Leader for our San Francisco office location. You will cultivate client relationships, providing vision, design insights, inspiration, and facilities strategies for our education clients. You will lead education strategic planning and marketing strategy, working with our SF-based Business Development Lead and Marketing Lead. You will be the ‘face’ of the education practice at industry conferences, events and committees. You will continue to foster our culture of collaboration, participating in and leading regular meetings among studio-wide teams. You will serve as a national resource for current and future industry trends. As Education Client Leader, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with our Director of Research in the continued pursuit of evidence-based education design.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in business development at the regional level with a focus on building relationships to achieve firm practice goals.
- Create winning pursuit strategies in pK-14 in collaboration with local BD leader and Chief Marketing Officer, and assist in developing and reviewing submittals, RFQ’s & RFP’s.
- Provide vision, strategic direction and thought leadership to advance the company’s regional education focus, including understanding of national and local trends.
- Collaborate internally with existing tracking software(s) to align with forecasting and business development initiatives established in the Strategic Plan.
- Participate in regular meetings among studio wide teams to facilitate and promote broad and consistent communications at all levels, along with Leadership and Management meetings, to represent the San Francisco location, as well as greater California business opportunities.
- Lead design efforts to discover the possibility of the project.
- Focus on a 'one team' mentality, helping to build an overall education practice working closely among individual profit centers.
We are Seeking Candidates with:
- Excellent track record of building and nurturing successful client partnerships.
- Professional degree in architecture, with 10 years of experience.
- Licensure required.
- Experience in public and/or private schools, and respective regulatory agency approvals required.
- Proficiency with Revit 2020 preferred.
- Excellent at multi-tasking, understanding complex project details while moving teams and outcomes forward.
- Experience advancing design solutions with project teams and a variety of project delivery methods.
- Strong communication, scheduling, and client management skills.
- Demonstrates a high level of initiative and proactiveness in mitigating risks and recognizing resolutions.
- Ability to create and manage project plans, while working with multiple PMs.
- Ability to balance budget and design expectations.

This is a full-time position which includes generous benefits such as vacation time, sick time, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as participation in a 401(k) and employee stock ownership plan. Multistudio supports a hybrid work environment; encouraging at least three days in office for regional hires. The expected compensation range for this position is $129,500 - $175,000 for employees working full-time in our San Francisco office.
