JOB SUMMARY MAC Fit Staff/Attendants assist members in their health endeavors while focusing their efforts on customer service, kindness, and compassion. Fit Staff/Attendants are dependable across Fitness and Wellness areas while showcasing the ability to learn and accept new challenges. Trustworthy in the Fitness areas and respected club-wide, this role accomplishes necessary organization, while supporting members and management with enthusiasm. JOB SCOPE Work cooperatively with other staff at all times. Executes daily tasks without assistance and initiates projects that need to be accomplished. Expected to suggest new or more efficient processes through experience of working in position and situations. Takes accountability or documents reasoning for actions leading to an incident report during shift. Being a dependable first responder, or a valuable assistant to Manager on Duty and others during a medical emergency. SPECIFIC JOB ABILITY Works cooperatively with other Fit Staff and MAC employees. Adheres to requests of management to help maintain Fitness programming. Routinely able to assist members with their needs. Closely works with coordinators, supervisors, and managers to improve the department as needed. Shows up to work on time and is a steadfast, reliable employee. QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of 1 years in customer service or industry equivalent and proven success in that field. CPR, First Aid, AED certification or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire. Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in related field preferred. Certification through ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or NASM preferred. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively. JOB CONDITIONS Job functions involve regular movement, including walking, picking up equipment, and bending to assist in cleaning and managing fitness areas. Beginning October 1, 2021, all MAC employees must be fully vaccinated or have been approved for a legal exception. Fully vaccinated is defined as two weeks following receiving the second dose of a two-dose or one dose of a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination.
