What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Director of FP&A, GTM position at MURAL?
YOUR MISSION
As Sr. Director of FP&A, Go-to-Market (GTM), you will be the FP&A lead supporting our Sales and Marketing teams in all FP&A activities such as revenue forecasting, expense budgeting and management, and strategic financial analysis. In this role, you will report directly to the VP of FP&A and:
- Serve as the primary finance partner to the CRO and CMO; own end-to-end financial planning and reporting for the GTM teams
- Be the finance lead in the ACV, ARR, and other key top-line metrics planning and forecasting
- Partner and lead discussions with GTM leadership and provide data-driven insights and financial analysis to maximize the effectiveness of the Sales and Marketing organizations in the near, medium, and long-term
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Define performance metrics to evaluate sales and marketing ROI and help inform sales and marketing investment. Develop unit economics to understand key drivers of the business model.
- Develop dashboards to track key performance metrics and monitor business performance
- Be the thought partner to Sales leadership to ensure commission plan design drives desired outcomes, and ensure the commissions can be properly forecasted and calculated
- Drive scalable and consistent processes to enable operational excellence in business planning, forecasting, reporting, and deep insights/analysis for GTM
- Build, nurture, and lead a high performing team that produces rich insights, plans, and forecasts with a high degree of clarity and accuracy
- Partner with broader FP&A team supporting financial modeling and ad-hoc analysis
YOUR PROFILE
- 10 years of experience in Finance with a minimum of 4 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven business experience partnering with and presenting to executive staff
- Experience building, leading, and developing FP&A teams in hyper-growth environments
- Deep knowledge of SaaS business metrics, including customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, churn, net dollar retention, cohort growth rates, and magic number
- High level of operational rigor and the ability to prioritize competing objectives in a fast paced environment
- A proactive leader and effective coach committed to the development and engagement of their team
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to communicate and distill complex ideas and information
- Ability to work independently from a remote location
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
